Downtown Bothell puts you on Main Street, the UW Bothell and Cascadia campus and the Sammamish River Trail; Canyon Park and North Creek sit along I-405 by the business parks; Thrashers Corner, Queensgate and the Bothell-addressed communities toward Mill Creek hold most of the established low-rise and townhome-style condominiums. The county line changes the property tax levy and some services, and the school district can change toward Mill Creek, so check which side a unit is on.

Washington requires the seller of a condo to deliver a resale certificate from the association (RCW 64.90.640 under the Washington Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act, or RCW 64.34.425 for condominiums created under the older Condominium Act). It covers dues and unpaid assessments on the unit, approved or pending special assessments, the budget, the reserve study summary, insurance, pending litigation and the governing documents. Dues follow what the association maintains and insures. A newer townhome-style condominium with private garages and no elevators often runs well under the dues of a 1980s or 1990s garden community funding siding, roofs and decks out of reserves, or of a building with an elevator and secured parking. Most established Bothell communities pass a conventional lender's project review, but new associations still selling units, buildings with high investor ownership or large delinquencies, and communities in litigation can need a portfolio lender.
